This is for a skull mask based on the tradition of day of the dead or dia de los muertos. This is a holiday I grew up celebrating and continue this tradition today.
The mask is made from terracotta and has a dark green underglaze painted on it first. Then a neon green lichen glaze was painted over and fired to get the textured surface. The size of the mask is 9 1/2 inches tall, and 6 1/3 inches wide. The mask has a coated copper wire attached to it so it iis ready to hang. Thank you for looking.
