This is for a skull mask based on the tradition of day of the dead or dia de los muertos. This is a holiday I grew up celebrating and continue this tradition today.
The mask is made from terracotta. It was first painted with a black underglaze. Then multiple layers of yellow orange lichen glaze painted on top for the textured surface. The size of the mask is 9 1/2 inches tall, and 6 1/4 inches wide. The mask has a coated copper wire attached to it so it is ready to hang. Thank you for looking.
